THE ONE WITH THREE VENUES, HOMEMADE JAM, AND A BRIDE IN TROUSERS
This wedding was a bloody wonderful one to capture. Mhari + Andrew booked us a couple years ago with the original plan to get married in 2020. With postponements and covid rule uncertainty, these guys cancelled their venue and decided to have their wedding their way exactly a year later than planned.
The ceremony was at the Glasgow University Chapel. This venue is beautiful enough but with on of our favourite florists, A Curious Arrangement, decorating the top of the aisle, the place was a dream. As it was halloween, their was pumpkins and warm tones which matched Mhari’s bouquet beautifully.
Mhari and her dad walked down the aisle to a live piano cover of The Office theme tune which made us love them more!
There was canapes and drinks in the cloisters after and then we all made our way to Roastit Bubbly Jocks in the west end for the wedding meal. We were so kindly sat with the guests and we can confirm, the food was AMAZING. With Mhari being a chef, we never questioned this though. Mhari’s bride’s man is a writer so you can best believe his speech was a tear jerker and Mhari herself decided to do a roast of her new husband for hers.
The night ended at Hillhead Bookclub which makes for a brilliant evening venue! The atmosphere was great and made even better as downstairs of the venue had their regular punters in celebrating the spooky season. We left after Mhari and Andrew dished out their wedding cake made by their friend. I cant express enough how welcoming these two were and we loved the photos we created with them.
Mhari’s outfit was custom made by Flossy and Dossy which consisted of a top and trousers and had a custom brooch of their dog Juno, by Freya Im. Check below for some our favourite shots from their day.
